I teamed up with BlackBooks Stencils last week to create this 12×36in. plywood engraving to send out to a friend in Japan. Thanks to Scott from Super 7 FL for hand delivering it! I’m all about the laser cut engravings these days. Such a great way to go from a digital file to something so tangible and special.
Just wanted to post up some of the t-shirt graphics and logo designs that I created last month that I’m able to show. A lot of the current projects have to stay under wraps, so it’s nice when clients let you show the artwork. I recently started a few shirts with a new client: Fright Rags who have been killer to work with so far! Below are the 1st approved designs for “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Dead Alive”. Another rad client I’ve been able to work with recently is Dean Guitars. This shirt graphic compliments the custom Dean guitar that I designed back in October for Dean’s Six String Masterpieces. This shirt for Vitale Studios was another one that I really enjoyed. I never get tired of the propaganda / revolutionary-style artwork. Below that are some new logos for Almost Home, Zap Skimboards and Lawless Angles.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how the Medusa mural collab was created, so I thought I’d post some progress shots of it. This was a really fun project. I love working big, and the idea of mixing 9 feet worth of die-cut, vinyl snakes with Allen’s amazing aerosol work got me stoked! Check out the shots below to see how the concept was brought to life.
Stoked to finally be able to share this one online! My TKL guitar case was just launched at NAMM this year and turned out beautiful. Props to the guys at ArtsProjekt for always pushing the limits of whats possible in artist series products.
Good times at the Baroness and Torche show in Orlando! This one went down back in December and I forgot to post it up. Props to my good friend Asa who manages The Social in Orlando. Asa had me design this gig poster for the show and since these are 2 bands that get played a whole lot here at Pale Horse, I was stoked to do it! There are still a few of these 18×24 in. signed and numbered posters left! Get your hands on one here.
Here’s a shot of Asa (X-Pac) and Me (Nature Boy – Ric Flair)
Big ups to Kirstie for helping me sell the posters at the show, so that I could get drunk and party instead of working. Some of the Merchline crew and Owl Movement were also in the house. Thanks Nate (the beardo behind me in that pic) for getting those posters printed so quickly!
Somehow my intern Emily (the girl on the left) is way cooler than I am and is friends with Summer (Bassist) and the rest of the dudes from Baroness. She went on tour with Baroness back in the day when she played bass for The Holy Mountain. Keep an eye on Emily. She’ll be big time soon. On the right is my legendary friend Dave who used to sing in the Tampa grind band called Assück. …If ya don’t know, now ya know!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Gods & Monsters opening last Saturday night! We had a killer time and hope you did too. For those who couldn’t make it out or just want to see it again we’ve created a video tour of all the new artwork we’ve been keeping under wraps and posted all the photos from opening night. Enjoy and let us know what you think of the collection.
Also, the all new Pale Horse online store is up and ready to rock! The new store includes: 5 shirt designs, lucha libre prayer candles, limited, signed prints, koozies & stickers. Thanks to Merchline for everything! I’m a picky bastard and they got everything looking perfect. Go get your Christmas shopping on here.
If you haven’t see it yet, head over to the new Pale Horse online store. I just launched 5 new t-shirt designs, 4 limited, signed prints, a signed & numbered Baroness gig poster, 2 Lucha Libre candles, Pale Horse koozies and stickers. Everything came out amazing. The Shirts are all printed on tagless, American Apparel tees, with huge, oversize screens using discharge and waterbase inks for a super soft feel. The prints are on extra thick, textured fine art paper and are perfect for easy framing at 16×20in. There’s still plenty of time to get your stuff for Xmas, so get your order in now!
Just picked up a few more new, framed pieces for Gods & Monsters. I went all out on the framing for some of these. Best presentation ever on that one on the left. It looks colossal in person! Also got in a ton of new die-cut stickers and created these super fun Mexican-style prayer candles. Still waiting on the shirts and koozies, but it’s looking all good for the opening on Sat. Get your Xmas shopping taken care of for the weirdos on your list who have everything!
Don’t worry if you live too far away to make it to the show. All the new Pale Horse merch will be available online right after the opening!
Just picked up the first 3 framed canvases for the show. These are the smaller of the collection at around 24×36 ea. Always cool to see them all finished and printed up. Along with the other 8 pieces in the works, is a giant 8×9 ft mural collab that Allen and I are working on. Super excited about that one. I’ll post all the progress shots after the opening.
Gott Damn! The ‘God’s and Monsters’ opening is breathing down my neck. I’ve been busting ass non-stop to finish up the final pieces for the collection. The large format, canvas pieces completed so far have come our incredible and I can’t wait to unveil everything I’ve had in the works for the past month! I thought I’d start putting up a some sneak peeks as it gets closer to the show. See below for some cropped shots to wet your appetite and stay tuned for some behind the scenes action and pics of the framed canvas, new shirts, stickers, koozies and more when they come in! Hope to see everyone at the opening on Sat. Dec. 12th!
