‘Cat Demon’ was inspired by ancient Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints & ‘Hyena Chief’ was was inspired by the ‘Gadawan Kura’ or hyena men of Lagos, Nigeria who keep Hyena’s as pets.

Both shirts are exclusively for the Pale Horse t-shirt line and printed oversized with water-based inks, so the print is super soft. Pieces are tagless with a custom size tag print on American Apparel brand preshrunk 100% ringspun cotton shirts.

I had always secretly wished that someone would call and ask me to draw up some illustrations for a couple legendary pro wrestlers and it looks like wishes really do come true. These were a lot of fun, because in pro wrestling, way to much is just the right amount!

It’s always a lot of fun working on projects for brands that were such a big part of my childhood. When I was a kid I would watch Thundercats every day that it was on and afterwards, go into the garage and re-create their weapons to try out on my unsuspecting friends. My mom banned me from the show after realizing what i had been up to, but it was no use. Glad my obsession finally payed off!
