The Afterlife Obsession of Hatshepsut – Wood Engraving
This 2-panel engraving, created for the “Edge of Love” exhibit at the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin shows the female Pharaoh Hatshepsut side-by-side. On the left, she is shown alive and ruling. On the right she, her body is a corpse and her soul has passed on to her afterlife, in which she was both in love, and obsessed with.
