There were so many good fights this weekend. They reconfirmed some things I already knew…Pacman is an absolute beast and Badr Hari is an absolute lunatic (but no less badass).

I also saw the walking freak show, Hong Man Choi lose (again) in a K-1 kickboxing match. But to be honest, he’s been fighting guys that were way out of his league like the mighty Fedor. Plus, he’s been out of action for a few months after joining the Korean army and being released due to a brain tumor found during his medical evaluations…so it will take a little bit of time to get back that killer instinct.

Anyways, if you didn’t know, the Japanese are more into extreme body types than us Americans. They love the Hong Man Choi and so do I! So I was deeply saddened to read that the 7’2″, 350 lbs. Korean told his fans on his blog that he wanted to die and start over again because of the way people judge him by his appearance. It was heartbreaking…where would our world be without Andre the Giant, Yao Ming, Sloth from the Goonies, etc.

So going forward, I will no longer judge a book by its cover (or at least for the next week). Because life would pretty boring if we were all the same boring.
